Thermal Transfer Ribbons

The Zebra 5586 Premium Wax/Resin thermal transfer ribbon is a special wax/resin ribbon ink formulation for use with Zebra thermal transfer printers. This ribbon provides outstanding print quality and improved smear and scratch resistance on Zebra paper and synthetic label stocks, which results in excellent staying power and durability in moderately harsh environments.

5586 Premium is UL Recognized and CSA Component Acceptable when used with PolyTrans 3000 White™ and PolyTrans 3000 Silver™. UL's recognition for this premium ribbon is indoor/outdoor applications and CSA for normal indoor/outdoor applications.

Suggested Applications

• Labels subject to abrasion or friction

• Shelf and scan-pallet labels

• Outdoor labeling applications in extreme environments

• Chemical drum labeling applications with the Z-22X printer series

• Labels exposed to water, steam, alkali or acid solutions

Part Numbers

The following part numbers are for use with all Zebra printers except the portable and desktop lines.

Note: All the above ribbons are 1,476 feet (450m) in length.
