Needs Analysis
Meetings
ensure that
the Solutions
Consultant creates a Statement of Work, clearly outlining the
scope of the project and addresses the
customer’s wishes from all stand-points. Conducted
by the Compsee Solutions Consultant along with a member of the
Mobility Systems Engineering Team, the Needs Analysis meeting
involve these discussion points:
User’s applications
Platform and software
requirements
Required integration
with other systems
Training and
documentation requirements
Documentation:
Statement of Work
Site Requirement Document
Estimated Project Schedule
Estimated Cost Statement
Quotation for Pre-Sales Professional Services
Prior to submitting a
proposal for the Hardware and Software Configurations, the
specific services must be completed.
Network Audit
Wireless Site Survey
Application Program Specification Design

Network Audit |
←Top |
|
A Network Audit
provides an invaluable opportunity to thoroughly review existing
infrastructure and network capabilities. As a result of a
network audit, conducted by Mobility Systems Engineering Team,
recommendations will be made to ensure:
Future proofing of the network
Evaluation of scalability requirements
Suggestions for alternative mechanisms of delivering new
functionalities with new software releases or new
technologies
to compliment the existing products.
Compsee Solutions
Consultant’s recommendation for a solution design is based on
customer’s requirements and whether they wish to build from
scratch or incorporate and optimize the use of their existing
infrastructure.

Wireless Site Survey |
←Top |
|
A wireless site
survey determines, among other things, the number of unique
propagation areas, or cells, of coverage for a proposed wireless
system. A Compsee Mobility Systems Engineer will provide a full featured
site survey analysis of each individual facility defined by the
user.
Survey tests include:
Spectrum
analysis
Range test
Interference
detection.
Included with each
site survey will be a site survey analysis document, detailing
the required location for each base radio. This document will
provide detailed information as to the type of cabling to be
installed and an overall picture of how the wireless system will
integrate into the existing network.

Site Survey
Cost:
$1,500 /1st
Day per Site + Travel Expenses
Additional
consecutive days at a site - $1,000.00/day, plus expenses. |

Application
Program Specification Design |
←Top |
|
The Application
Program Specification Design includes a discussion of existing
application procedures and recommendations for operation on
wireless terminals.
As part of this
process, Compsee Solutions Consultant will guide you through a
comprehensive, tool-driven analysis of your application and
incorporate modeling tools to provide data on total cost of
ownership, service level, system agility, and performance.
Once
analyzed, Compsee Solutions Consultant will be able to recommend
a suitable Software Partner. Compsee partners with a select
group of proven Software Vendors to
deliver complete,
technically verified software solutions. Together, we deliver
comprehensive, seamlessly integrated and fully optimized
solutions.

Demonstrations |
←Top |
|
Compsee has found that the most effective approach to
visualizing application usage is to provide a demonstration. A
demonstration can be accomplished in one of the following
methods.
On-Site:
A demonstration at the customer site allows for direct
contact between Compsee’s Solutions Consultant and the end
user. Both hardware and software can be demonstrated in a
hands-on, real-time environment, either on the user’s
computers or simulated on an external computer.
Webinar:
A web based demonstration allows the Solutions Consultant to
conduct both a hardware and software demonstration to multiple
end users at multiple locations. During the web based
demonstration, the user can view the application PC screen, the
terminal screens and the interaction between the two.
The goal of a demonstration is to allow the user to see how the
products and software work and what benefits they provide. A
Compsee Solutions Consultant can provide the customer with an
overview of the project by demonstrating the software and
defining the role of each product in the system.

Image Configuration Design |
←Top |
|
The Bill of
Materials defines the discrete software products that need to be
established, tested and eventually loaded into each terminal,
prior to shipment. Since there can be a number of variables that
make up the complete software/firmware “Image” configuration for
the system, logically organizing all the variables will help
ensure the inclusion of all the necessary information to
properly configure the system. |

Detailed Project Proposal |
←Top |
|
The pre-sales activities result in the Detailed Project
Proposal. The proposal provides the projected timetables and
key milestones that should be adhered to by all vendors
involved, as well as the user.
The detailed proposal, prepared and delivered by the Compsee
Solutions Consultant should include:
Site Requirement Document
Completed Site Survey
Recommended Hardware Configuration
Application Design Specification
Terminal Image Configuration
Detailed Bill of Materials
Deployment Procedures
Time Line Milestones
Mobility Support Requirements
Project Quotation
Line items that need to be included are charges for the
following:
Hardware Configuration - All Parts and Accessories
Host Software
